This beginners workshop will be mentored by Daniel Spencer (Giant Animation). It will be a mix of practical and theory stuff as well as studying animation and sparking up conversation about technique as well.

No prior knowledge is required.

The requirements are:

  • Bring pens, paper
  • Bring laptop and any animation software** they can get their hands on.

** Note: Daniel will not be teaching a software class but an animation class.

The course will be:

  • An introduction into animation principals.
  • A look at aesthetics within motion.
  • A study of acting for animation.
  • Tips to economise animation for games.

Daniel is a Digital Artist and Illustrator. Currently he is the Managing Director at Giant Animation and he contributes extensively to the animation and games communities.
